An early-stage venture firm ran founder outreach by hand: referrals posted in a Slack pipeline channel, added to Airtable, then copied into MixMax and customised manually, time-sensitive work, since deals can close in 1-2 days. 80x mapped the current state in a flowchart and delivered a product-development spec plus a Notion document specifying a two-agent workflow: a Slack-message parser and an AI email drafter, triggered by a Slack reaction that adds the lead to Airtable and drafts a sequence for review. Deployment was planned on OpenClaw in the cloud at ~$1/month.
