Only the chat you have open, on whichever channel is active, and only when you click Sync. The background channel can't drive the CRM. It never enumerates your chats or scrolls history in the background — and everything stays private until you share it, enforced server-side. A contact you reach on both channels stays two distinct threads, never merged by accident.
